RenewalRequired -- BOC certification must be renewed every 2 years. 50 CEUs required per 2-year renewal cycle, including EBP and ethics requirements. Renew through the BOC candidate portal at bocatc.org.
PrerequisitesGraduation from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program (master's degree required for programs transitioning to graduate entry; verify current CAATE requirements) (recommended)
Retake Policy60-day waiting period between failed attempts. Maximum 6 lifetime attempts. Candidates who exhaust all attempts are permanently ineligible and must petition the BOC.
