Retake Policy60-day waiting period between attempts. Maximum of 6 total attempts (state board rules may vary; some states impose stricter limits). Candidates must reapply to their state board for Authorization to Test for each attempt. After exhausting attempts, candidates may petition their state board for additional attempts.
