RenewalRequired -- 40 CPE hours required annually for CIA maintenance. Specialty certifications also require 40 CPE hours per year. CPE must be relevant to internal auditing. Maintain active IIA membership for reduced exam pricing.

Retake Policy90-day waiting period between failed attempts for the same part. Retake fees are the same as initial attempt fees ($370 member / $570 non-member). CIA candidates have a maximum of 4 years from initial registration to pass all parts.
