RenewalRequired -- CP/CLA and PACE certifications valid for 5 years. Renewal requires 50 CE credits earned through NALA-approved continuing education. Credits may include legal seminars, webinars, self-study courses, and professional development activities. A minimum number of credits must be NALA-approved.
PrerequisitesOne of the following: (1) Graduation from an ABA-approved paralegal program; (2) Graduation from a paralegal program at an accredited school with at least 60 semester hours; (3) Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of paralegal experience; (4) High school diploma/equivalent plus 7 years of paralegal experience under attorney supervision
