RenewalRequired -- Complete 60 PDCs (Professional Development Credits) every 3 years. PDCs earned through HR-related education, community involvement, research, and volunteering. Or retake and pass the exam.
PrerequisitesLess than 3 years in HR role with HR-related degree, OR 1-4 years HR experience without degree. See SHRM eligibility criteria.
Retake PolicyMay attempt up to 3 times per testing window. SHRM exams offered twice per year (spring and winter windows). Full fee required for each retake.
