ID RequirementsValid government-issued photo ID: passport or national identity card required at the test centre.

RenewalNot required -- TORFL certificates have lifetime validity — they do not expire.

PrerequisitesNone. Required by law for work permits and university admission in Russia. Approximately 350–400 hours of Russian study recommended. (recommended)

Retake PolicyNo official waiting period between attempts. Exam frequency depends on the individual test centre schedule (typically 2–4 sessions per year). Candidates may retake the full exam or only failed sub-tests at participating centres.
